Understanding the Process
How Off-Plan Disputes Are Resolved in the UAE
Most disputes follow a predictable path. Understanding each stage helps you make informed decisions about your situation.
Stage One

Direct Communication

A formal written notice to the developer outlining the breach and requesting remedy. This is a legal prerequisite in most cases and establishes your position on record.

Stage Two

RERA / Regulatory Proceedings

Filing a complaint with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency. RERA can mediate, issue directives, and in some cases order compensation or contract termination.

Stage Three

Litigation or Arbitration

If regulatory channels don't resolve the matter, civil litigation through Dubai Courts or arbitration through DIAC becomes the path to enforcement and recovery.
